Today I am going to review a bluetooth speaker this one is a from a company called Edifier small national company established in Beijing, China in May 1996 that initially focused within the China domestic market, in which it is a market leader today selling varies sound products. My first thought when I saw this speaker on the edifier homepage was “HEY that looks like a thinner amazon echo” This speaker costs about $55.99 USD as priced on amazon at time of writing this So not bad for the price and product design but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….

Product Name: Edifier MP280 Portable Speaker

Provider: Edifier USA

The Review:

The packaging, is a clear box just like most of their products come packaged which shows the Edifier MP280 through the box for retail purposes as well as on the back a small amount of info about features of the Extreme Connect

The speaker does have one identifying mark on it which is the Edifier logo on the side where the buttons are

The speaker comes with a limited warranty, Instruction manual in Spanish and English as well a cable to charge the speaker and AUX cable in case you don’t like or want to use Bluetooth there is no carrying bag but you do get a metal clip to attach onto a backpack or something else

On the bottom of the speaker you will find a place to put the included USB cable to charge the speaker as well the Micro-SD card slot and Line in Aux on the top you will also find the power and mode switching buttons and on the side or the front call/pause/play, forward/ backward/volume up-down and the blue/red light to show when its in pairing or when the power is on

This speaker is very easy just turn on your bluetooth setting on your device then turn on the speaker for most devices you should see the Edifier name to pair I should tell you that if you want to pair another device you must turn off the first device before pairing the speaker with another device

Sound Quality:

I used this speaker for a few months and I found this speaker was great for using Pandora, watching YouTube videos my tablet and phone and from my Macbook but I loved it more to use as a portable speaker with my Echo Dot.

The speaker is priced affordable for most budgets when amazon compared to the UE Boom, but is it even worth it? I would say yes if you want a bluetooth speaker that is great for watching videos on your laptop or tablet and sounds just like a BIG time home entertainment system As I said before something I really liked about this speaker was the Amazon echo or even UE boom design but at half the cost
