Today I am going to review a usb hub from a company called AUKEY® they combine the latest technologies with over a decade of hardware expertise to design and build solid, reliable consumer electronics and mobile tech accessories. They’re a team of techies with a common appreciation for the finer details and utility of great products. From USB-C accessories to smartphone lenses to Bluetooth audio products, they’re continuously developing and expanding their product portfolio to bring you practical, next generation tech to complement and elevate your digital lifestyle.
AUKEY is a top ranked global Amazon seller, and has distribution partners in over 50 countries throughout the Middle East, South East Asia, North and Eastern Europe, and Latin America. We’re committed to creating solid products backed by friendly, responsive service to delight our loyal customers around the world.
The packaging, is an easy open small cardboard box which opens like a pizza box plastic bag wraps the the hub which is easy to get out no twist ties to worry about at the bottom is the #TechKey and support docs on the box you will find for retail purposes a drawing of the hub
The hub does have an identifying mark on it which is Aukey logo on the top it’s made of plastic and comes in Black or Aluminum Alloy-Space Gray which is a bit more but seems built to last This portable hub is great for those who have a bunch of different usb devices that need to be plugged into your laptop since today most laptops don’t give you any ports besides one to charge the device
Now something I should let you know about the hub is it turns a single USB C port into four USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) data ports with data transfer rates up to 5Gbps There is also a Aukey #Techkey 45-Day Money Back Guarantee and 24-Month Product Replacement Warranty Card I would also assume it would just be covered on a standard Amazon policy too which is good too this hub indeed lives up to the simple unbox and use design in my opinion…
So yes the hub is affordable but is it even worth it? I would say YES if you don’t want to get a laptop docking station like the Plugable Dock I’ve reviewed in the past small hubs are great when you have a small laptop since the goal is to keep your carry load light
